TOMLINSON, MARVIN GALE (1916-1987)

THE NEVADA JOURNAL February 1987. “MARVIN GALE TOMLINSON, - Marvin Gale Tomlinson of Maxwell IA died Sunday, Feb. 22, 1987. He was born May 12, 1916 at Farrar, IA to Alonzo “Lonnie” Tomlinson and Mildred (Dunlap) Tomlinson. He was married to Velma Reynolds on Sept. 3, 1937, in Nevada IA. Mr. Tomlinson was a farmer, a member of the Loring United Methodist Church, and a member of the Story County ASCS Committee. He was a lifelong resident of this area. Survivors include his wife, Velma, of Maxwell and a daughter, Susan Fuller of Maxwell. He was preceded in death by a son, Robert G. Tomlinson; his parents, and a sister JoAnne Longnecker. Visitation was Monday, Feb. 23, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Cooper Funeral Home in Maxwell. Funeral services will be Tuesday, Feb. 24, at 10:30 a.m. at Loring United Methodist Church, Maxwell, with rev. Harland Gant officiating. Burial will be in Center Grove Cemetery.”
