LONGNECKER, MILDRED JOANNE TOMLINSON (MRS. GUY LONGNECKER) (1929-1984)

THE NEVADA JOURNAL February 1984. “MILDRED JOANNE LONGNECKER.. – Mildred Joanne Longnecker, 54, of rural Cambridge died of cancer Friday, Feb. 10, 1984, at the Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames. Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 13 at the United Methodist Church in Maxwell with Rev. Mary Johnston officiating. Burial will be at the Center Grove Cemetery. Mildred Tomlinson was born on Aug. 28, 1929, to A. S. and Mildred (Dunlap) Tomlinson in Des Moines. She was married to Guy Longnecker on Oct. 4, 1947 in Des Moines. She was a homemaker, and worked part-time at Casey’s General Store, and had served on the Maxwell United Methodist Church board and Maxwell Board of Education. She is survived by her husband, Guy; two sons, Michael and Jeff, both of Ames; one daughter, Pamela Logli of Indianola; her parents, A. S. and Mildred Tomlinson of Maxwell; one brother, Marvin Tomlinson of Maxwell; and two grandchildren. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 12, at the Cooper funeral home.”
