DEATHS
Mrs. Lewis Larson
Pastor Marvin E. Nygaard officiated at the 2 o'clock services on Wednesday, Nov. 17, at the Fjeldberg Lutheran Church, Huxley, for Mrs. Lewis Larson.
Arlin Severson, soloist, sang 'My God, How Wonderful Thou Art' and 'I'm a Pilgrim, I'm a Stranger.'
The services closed by the congregation singing 'Beautiful Savior.' Organist was Mrs. Jacob Lee.
Pallbearers were Steven Roberts, Timothy Roberts, Norman Magg, Jerry Fischer, Paul Larson and John Hendricks.
Interment was in the Palestine Cemetery, Huxley.
Isabelle Dobbe Larson, daughter of Andrew and Mary Dobbe, was born Jan. 24, 1893 in Emmet County, Iowa. In 1903 she moved to Huxley and was confirmed in Palestine Lutheran Church.
On June 25, 1913, she married Lewis Larson and they moved to a farm southeast of Huxley.
In 1949, Mr. and Mrs. Larson retired and moved to Huxley. They became members of the Fjeldberg Lutheran Church.
Surviving are her husband Lewis; two sons, Robert of Kalamazoo, Mich. and Edward of Huxley; four daughters, Mrs. Inez Estrem and Mrs. Kathryn Moore of Altoona, Mrs. Dorothy Johnson, Marshalltown, and Mrs. Lucille Erickson, Des Moines; two sisters, Mrs. Carrie Hendricks, Huxley, and Mrs. Mabel Potter, Deerfield, Ill.; a brother, Martin Dobbe of Butterfield, Minn.; 17 grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother Lewis and three sisters, Minnie, Hattie, and Lillian.
