Father of Nevada Residents Dies At Ames Yesterday

Tony Cody, 75, father of William Cody and Mrs. Dorothy Harrelson of Nevada, died yesterday afternoon at his home in Ames.

Born Dec. 3, 1884 in Beaumont, Kansas, he had lived near Ames since the age of 12. On Aug. 12, 1907 he was married to Elsie May Osborne who preceded him in death.

Survivors include William Cody and Mrs. Dorothy Harrelson, both of Nevada, Mrs. Helen Helgeland of McCallsburg, Frederick Cody of Myrtle Beach, S. C., Mrs. Opal Fisher and Ruth Cody both of Ames and Evelyn Cody of Boulder, Colo.

Twelve grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Mamie Dennis of Waterloo and one brother, Frank Cody of Dexter, Iowa also survive.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 11, at 1:30 p. m. at the Adams Funeral Home in Ames with Rev. Norman Tosten officiating. Burial will be in Ames Municipal cemetery.
