OBITUARY
JAMES REEDY
James Reedy, of Beresford, S. D., died Monday morning at seven o'clock at the home of his daughter Mrs. A. V. Graves. Two weeks ago today, he arrived in Nevada with Mrs. Graves who had been on a visit to his home. He had been in poor health but was at first able to enjoy the change. However on Wednesday last he took seriously ill and failed rapidly till the end came as stated.
Mr. Reedy was born in Ireland but grew up in this country. He married Mary Kane when both were but eighteen and their first home was in Mendota, Ill. Their four children, two sons, John L. of Beresford and Thomas of Yankton, S. D. and two daughters Mrs. Catherine Bulow of Beresford ad Mrs. Mary Graves of Nevada, were born in Illinois but while they were all still small the family moved to South Dakota which has since been their home, the two sons and a brother J. W. Reedy were with Mr. Reedy toward the last. His wife who survives him is at their home in Beresford and in frail health. Mrs. Bulow having suffered a dislocated ankle last week was unable to come. Mr. and Mrs. Graves, J. W. Reedy and Thomas Reedy left at two o'clock this morning with body for Beresford, John Reedy having left on Monday. The funeral will take place on Wednesday and interment will be in the family lot in the Catholic cemetery at Beresford. Besides his wife and four children Mr. Reedy leaves thirteen grandchildren.
