OBITUARY

DANIEL HAEREM

Daniel Haerem was born in Christiania, Norway March 27, 1876 and died in Story City, Feb. 22, 1918. He was raise and received his education as civil engineer in Christiania. Later he studied in Dresden, Germany. After he had worked several years in his home town mostly as architect he went to Cuba, where he stayed five years. In 1912 he came to Story City to visit his brother Dr. H. Haerem. Story City became his home and he worked in and around Story City until last fall when on account of ill health he was oblige to quit his work. Mr. Haerem won many friend during his stay in Story City. The funeral services were held Monday from the St. Petri church, Rev. Solum officiating. The beautiful floral contributions show the friendship and good will which he had gained among the people of the town.
