Rhodes Woman To Observe Her 90th Birthday Nov. 28

Rhodes - (Special) - Mrs. Amanda Richmond one of this community's oldest residents, will observe her 90th birthday Nov. 28. Born in Indiana, she came in a covered wagon to Iowa with her parents when 2 years of age and has spent most of her life in Story, Jasper and Marshall counties.

Her children and Mrs. Hattie Williams and Earl Richmond of Marshalltown, Mrs. William Leibsle of Melbourne, Mrs. Charles Sarsfield and Mrs. Flora Schonwald of Chicago, Ill, Mrs. Nellie Clark of Billings, Mont., and Mrs. Fred Hale, with whom she makes her home south of town. She has 20 grand children, 29 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

At the age of 84 she served as noble grand of the Rhodes Rebekah lodge No. 362 having been a member for over 40 years.
