OBITUARIES

Billings Matron Dies at Home

Mrs. Nellie May Clark, 77, of 316 S. 31st St., a resident of Yellowstone County for 51 years, died in her home Saturday morning of cancer.

She was born Nov. 1, 1880 (sic actually Nov 1, 1881 /H/), in Rhodes, Iowa, and came to Billings (MT) in 1906. She was married to Aaron L. Clark June 1, 1903 in Marshalltown, IA. He died Jan 10, 1934, in Billings.

(Mrs. Clark was the daughter of Alonzo and Amanda (Beard) Richmond of Collins and Rhodes, Iowa /H/)

Survivors include two sons, Eldon L. Clark of 1029 N. 25th St. and Clare E. Clarke of 1539 Yellowstone Ave.; Three daughters, Mrs. Clark Fuller of 601 Parkhill Dr., Mrs. Thomas Gregory of Galen and Mrs. Claire haughey of Roundup. Five sisters, Mrs. W.R. Leibsle of Melbourne, Iowa, Mrs. Fred Hale of Rhodes, Mrs. Hattie Williams of Marshalltown, Mrs. Wilda Sarsfield of McCallsburg, Iowa and Mrs. Paul Schonwald of Phoenix, Ariz; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. The body is at Smith's Funeral Home.

Last Rites Conducted for Billings Matron

Funeral services for Mrs. Nellie May Clark, 77, of 316 S. 31st St. who died in her home Saturday of cancer, were conducted in Smith's Chapel Tuesday.

Officiating was the Rev. S.J. McIntyre, pastor of the Wesleyan Methodist Church. Hobert Brunsvold, accompanied by Mrs. B.K. Allen, sang "Going Down the Valley" and "Beyond the Sunset." Pallbearers were Erwin Fuller, Gerald Glasgow, Leonard Marsh, E.L. Phelps, John Sullivan and and Clarence young. Burial was in Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Survivors include two sons, three daughters, a brother, five sisters, eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
