Mrs. Williams Rites Tuesday

Services have been set for Mrs. Hattie A. Williams, 97, of Rhodes, who died Friday morning at the State Center Manor Nursing Home where she had resided since July 14, 1980.

The Rev. Frank Schultz will officiate at the 130 p.m. services Tuesday from the Rhodes United Methodist church with burial in Hillside Cemetery at State Center. A memorial fund is being established. Friends may call at the Wensel-Perrin Funeral Home from 6 p.m. Sunday until 10 a.m. Tuesday and then at the church.

Born Hattie Alice Richmond on April 19, 1884, in Collins, she was the daughter of Alonzo and Amanda Beard Richmond. She received her education in Collins and Rhodes. On June 8, 1904, in Rhodes, she was married to John H. Williams. They resided in State Center. Mr. Williams died in 1936. Also preceding her in death were a son and a daughter, two brothers, five sisters and two great-grandchildren.

Surviving are two daughters, Alice (Mrs. Lawrence) Ginter of Rhodes and Maude (Mrs. M.E.) Farrell of San Mateo, Calif.; seven grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great-grandchildren and a sister, Maud (Mrs. Fred) Hale of Rhodes.

Mrs. Williams was a member of the Rhodes United Methodist Church, Marshall Rebekah Lodge 40 and the Sweet Alice Grandmother Club.
