WILLIAM SHENKLE DEAD AT AGE 80; SERVICES SUNDAY

ZEARING – (Special) – William A. Shenkle, 80, of St. Anthony, died at 8:30 a.m. Friday at Mercy Hospital in Marshalltown, where he had been a patient one month.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday from the Collins Methodist Church, with burial in Collins Evergreen Cemetery. Friends may call at the Brouhard Funeral Home at Zearing until service time.

A retired farmer, Mr. Shenkle had lived in Collins vicinity until 21 years ago, when he moved to St. Anthony.

He is survived by the widow, three sons and eight daughters, William of St. Anthony; John, Franklin, Mrs. George Rowe, Mrs. William Cripps, Mrs. Robert Simmons and Mrs. Richard Nicholson, all of Marshalltown; Mrs. Glen Brownfield and Mrs. Edwin Rae of Colo; Mrs. Robert Meier, State Center, and Mrs. Eugene Day, Nevada.

Other survivors include a brother, Ellis, of Sioux Falls, S.D.; two sisters, Mrs. Bertha Stuntz of State Center and Mrs. Blanche Van Dran of Hickory, N.C."
