[Pion]eer Maxwell [Wo]man to Be Buried [Wed]nesday
[Max]well, July 18--Mrs. Lizzie [Scott], 74, native of this [comm]unity, died at the home of [her d]aughter Mrs. Miles Cook, in [Maxw]ell Monday evening at 7:30 [of ]a cerbral hemorrhage after [an ill]ness of about five weeks.
[Fun]eral services will be held at [the C]hurch of Christ in Maxwell [Wedne]sday at 2:00 with Rev. [C. R.] Neal in charge. Burial [was ]in the Maxwell cemetery [by the] side of her husband who [passed] away in 1910.
[Mrs.] Scott who had lived in this [comm]unity all of her life, was the [wife] of John D. Scott*, well [known] man of this neighborhood, [have] 10 children. They are Ce[cil,] Lyle of Des Moines; Glen, [Fores]t, Burness, Dale and Arn[old of] Maxwell; Mrs. Laura Pear[son an]d Mrs. Marie Cook of Max[well a]nd Mrs. Alice Higgs of Ne[vada. ]She also leaves 18 grand[childre]n and 4 great grandchil[dren.]
