Former Resident Of Maxwell Dies In D.M. Saturday

Glen Scott, 75, former resident of Maxwell, died Saturday evening at the Iowa Methodist Hospital in Des Moines where he had been a patient for five days. He was an employee for the Milwaukee Railroad in Maxwell for 30 years before his retirement. The last few years he has lived with his daughter in Des Moines.

Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2 p. m. at the Maxwell Christian Church with the Rev. Robert Renner officiating assisted by the Rev. C. S. Linkletter. Interment will be in the Maxwell cemetery. The body will lie in state at the Cooper Funeral Home in Maxwell until time of services. The family will be at the funeral home Monday evening 7:30 to 9 p. m.

Scott was preceded in death by his wife, one daughter, a brother and his parents.

Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Arthur (Betty) Porter, 1708 28th St., Des Moines; three sisters, Mrs. Laura Pearson, Maxwell, Mrs. Marie Cook, Maxwell and Mrs. Alice Higgs, Nevada; six brothers, Cecil, Des Moines, Lyle, Nevada, Forrest, Lincoln, Nebr., J. B., Dale and Arnold, all of Maxwell.
