Former Nevada Man Dead at Pasadena, Calif.

Wm. H. Paul, 81, former resident of Richland township and Nevada died very suddenly at his home in Pasadena, Calif., Sunday from a heart attack. Funeral services are to be held at Pasadena this afternoon an burial will be by the side of his wife who died a few month ago.

Mr. Paul had been in failing health since the death of his wife and a few weeks ago had suffered a stroke. He was taken to a hospital for treatment but had been recently released from the hospital and taken to his home.

He is survived only by his one daughter, Pauline, wife of A. S. Johnsen of Pasadena, Calif.

Mr. and Mrs. Paul came to Story county from near Eagle Grove, settling first on a farm in Richland township, where they lived until probably about twenty years ago, when they retired and located in a home of Eighth street, Nevada. There they live for a few years before leaving for Pasadena, Calif., where the family home had since been.

Word regarding his last illness and death was received by George H. Kellogg, secretary of Nevada Lodge No. 99 A. F. & A. M., of which Mr. Paul was a member. The lodge records give his birth as November 19, 1858. During his residence here he had membership in both the Masonic and K. and P. lodges.
