Mrs. Daniel B. Welty Died Wednesday at Home In Nevada

Mrs. Daniel B. Welty died at her home, 1226 Thirteenth street Wednesday evening at 7:00 o'clock after an illness of about two weeks, following a gradual decline in health for the past year.

The funeral services will be held at the home Saturday afternoon at 2:00 with the Rev. C. E. Lookingbill in charge and burial will be in the Welty family lot in the Colo cemetery.

Mrs. Welty, whose maiden name was Harriet Salisbury, was born at Daysville, Illinois, 74 years ago last November 9. There he was first married* and two children born, but the husband and both children passed away. She was married to Daniel B. Welty, a boyhood friend, January 21, 1932, and accompanied him to Nevada where their home was established and has since continued.

She leaves besides her husband a sister, Mrs. Eva Stevens of Sanborn, Iowa, who was here at the time of death; and a brother Fred Salisbury of Rockford, Illinois.

She had for many years been a member of the Methodist church but was of a retiring disposition and had met few people since coming to Nevada.

*SUBMITTER'S NOTE: Harriet Salisbury was born 9 November 1864 in Daysville, Ogle County, Illinois to Lyman Salisbury and Sarah Jane Lacy. She married (1) John A. Fry/Frye on 29 October 1889 in Ogle County, Illinois. She married (2) Daniel Burnside Welty on 12 January 1932 in Oregon, Ogle County, Illinois.
