ROLAND WOMAN DIED EARLY TODAY

MRS. NETTIE DURBY PASSED AWAY FOLLOWING SURGICAL OPERATION

Special to the Journal.
Roland, July 28--Mrs. Nettie Durby, 35, died today at 5:00 a. m., at the Story City hospital. She had submitted to a surgical operation there Wednesday of last week, for the removal of puss and infection from her lungs. She had been in ill health for the past two and a half years of which she had spent at Oakdale sanitarium.

She was brought back to the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. N. E. Nerem in June.

Her husband died 6 years ago, leaving her with one daughter, now 17 years of age and making her home with relatives in Des Moines.

The sisters are Mrs. Gus Hanson of Mankato, Minn., Mrs. Peter Millange of Story City, Mrs. J. J. Hill of Roland, Mrs. G. A. Cole of Roland, Mrs. Nels Millange of Roland and Mrs. Arthur Lura of Marshalltown. The brothers are I. M. Nerem of Bellevue, Minn., and Guy Nerem of Story City.

Definite funeral arrangements have not been made, pending word from relatives. It is probable that the service will be held Thursday at 1:30 at the home of her parents and at 2:00 at Salem church, Roland, with her pastor, Rev. Olaf Holen in charge. Burial will be in the Story City cemetery by the side of her husband.
