William Harrison Died at Collins

Special to the Journal.
William E. Harrison, 70, passed away at his home in Collins at 10:00 a. m. Monday from a paralytic stroke which he suffered Sunday. Although he had been ill for three weeks hope had been held for his recovery until Sunday.

He was born in Olin, Jones county, Ia., March 1, 1863 a son of William and Rebekah Harrison. His family later moved to Greene county where he grew to manhood. He was married Jan. 19, 1890 to Miss Maude Burnham at Grand Junction, Iowa. Mr. and Mrs. Harrison made Collins their home twice in their married life, living here for 13 years then moving to Perry where they lived 13 years, again coming to Collins five years ago.

He leaves besides his wife, on brother Henry Harrison, 80, of Bassett, Nebr., also one nephew who lives at Grand Junction and a niece of Bassett, Nebr. Funeral services will be held from the U. B. church Tuesday at 2:00 p. m. Rev. Geo. Cornford in charge and burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.
