OLIVE SHICKELL

Olive Edna Shickell, 93, of Nevada, died Saturday, January 24, 1981 at Story County Hospital.

She was born August 11, 1887 in Collins, the daughter of Jacob Wesly and Martha Ann Dunahoo McCord. She received her education in the Collins school.

On Nov. 25, 1908, she married Thomas Claude Shickell. She spent her lifetime in Story County, and was a homemaker all of her life. She was a member of the United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Shickell was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers, James Charles McCord, Leo S. McCord and Clyde McCord; and a sister, Dollie McCord Brouhard.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 27, at the Ryan Funeral Home, Nevada, with Rev. Virgil Shickell officiating. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery, Collins.
