ZEARING FARMER TOOK OWN LIFE

PERRY CAMERON SUICIDED AT HIS ARM HOME THURSDAY AFTERNOON

Zearing, Sept. 15--Perry Cameron , 57, of Zearing committed suicide Thursday afternoon by hanging himself in the barn at his home west of Zearing. His brother, C. V. Cameron, had been out to the farm about noon visiting him and he was his usual self. Shortly after two o'clock his wife went to the barn where she found him hanging. Coroner D. G. Mills of McCallsburg was called and pronounced his death a suicide.

This tragic act is a great shock to the community as he was always of cheerful disposition an made many friends throughout this community where he had lived about thirty five years.

He was born Nov. 2, 1875 at New Sharon, Iowa, one of the nine children of James A. and Elizabeth Cameron. He always lived on a farm and since reaching manhood has engaged in that industry.

He was united in marriage to Miss Edna Fines in December 1920. The widow survives him together with the aged mother who resides at Marysville, Wash. Five brothers C. V. Cameron of Zearing, Garfield of New Market, David Oscar and Archie also of Marysville, Wash., and three sisters, Mrs. Henrietta Patterson of Des Moines, Mrs. Kate Wilson of Altoona and Mrs. Margaret Newman of Los Angeles, Calif. One brother, Willie and the father preceded him in death a number of years past. There were no children.

The body is at the Brouhard Funeral home and will lie in state until Sunday afternoon at which time the funeral will be at the Evangelical church at 2 o'clock.
