MRS. W. H. CLEMONS PASSED AWAY IN MISSOURI SATURDAY
Mrs. Mary Clemons, widow of the late W. H. Clemons who was killed in motor car accident two years ago the first of January, died at the home of her son W. H. Clemons Jr. at Buffalo, Mo., Saturday, according to word received by her nephew W. P. Hughes of Nevada.
The body will arrive in Zearing this afternoon at 4:00 and the funeral will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2:30, at the home of a sister, Miss Clara Waldie. Burial will be in the family lot at State Center, by the side of the husband who died two years ago. Rev. Tuttle will be in charge of the service.
Miss Waldie had been at Buffalo with the sister at the time of death, having been called there when her condition became serious.
Mrs. Clemons had lived in Story county the greater part of her life, principally at Zearing. Of later years she had lived at Colo and Nevada and for the past year her home had been with the son W. H. Clemons, Jr. and family in Missouri.
She leaves besides the son at whose home she died, a son Roy Clemons at Spencer and daughter Mrs. Bertha Guthrie at Davenport.
She was well known in the northeast part of the county and will be mourned by a wide circle of friends and old-time neighbors as a most estimable and highly respected woman.
