THE MAXWELL TRIBUNE, Maxwell, Iowa, Thursday, April 14, 1921, page 1, column 3. "WILLIS DALE WHITNEY. - Willis Dale, son of Clarence and Arminta Whitney, was born August 29, 1920, near Bondurant, and departed this life April 6, 1921, near Maxwell, at the age of seven months and eight days. He was taken suddenly ill with pneumonia, living but two days. He leaves to mourn his departure, father, mother, one brother, Irving, one sister, Marveljune; grandfather, two grandmothers, uncles, aunts and many other relatives. Funeral services held Friday forenoon from the C. W. Halterman home in Maxwell with interment in the Maxwell cemetery. Sermon was preached by Rev. C. E. Lookingbill." "Card of Thanks. - Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Whitney wish to thank the many friends and neighbors for their kindness and sympathy during the illness and following the death of their little son, Willis Dale."
