Thompson Funeral was Held on Saturday

Ames, Dec. 10--The funeral of Mrs. L. G. Thompson, who died at the University hospital at Iowa City Wednesday, following a major surgical operation, was held at the church of the Nazarene, Ames, Saturday afternoon, after which interment was in the Nevada cemetery.

Mrs. Thompson was born Florence Elizabeth McDonald at Ames Nov. 6, 1893 and lived at Ames until about ten years ago when she with her father and mother and family moved to a farm north of Nevada where she grew to young womanhood and was married to L. G. Thompson Dec. 10, 1913. To this union eight children were born all of whom survive their mother.

The children are Donald, Ralph, Dorma, Ruth, Guy, Phyllis, Doris and Marion.

Mrs. Thompson's death is the first death in the immediate family. John W., Charles, James and Harry McDonald also the parents J. F. McDonald all of Graettinger and Mrs. R. J. Vogt of Dawson, Mrs. M. R. Strain of Hubbard, Mrs. R. W. Strain of Ontario and Mrs. Clifford Larson and R. H. McDonald of Nevada.
