Huxley, March 24--Funeral services for Mrs. Gunder J. Rullestad Sr. were held at the Larson funeral home Sunday at 1:30 where a short service was held with Rev. Buland in charge. Mrs. Roy Elliott and Gladys Rullestad sang a duet "Mit Salige Hjem." At two o'clock the services were held in the Lincoln church where Rev. Buland was assisted by Rev. Golden Thompason of Colo. Mrs. Roy Ellott and Gladys Rullestad sand three sons "God's Way is the Right Way", "Paa Den Sjonne Gyldne Stand" and "Tired." The pall-bearers were six grandsons, Glen Freeland, Gurney, Grant, Glen, Ernest and James Rullestad.

Gunhilde Estensdatter Rullestad was born in Skaanevik, Norway in 1841 of the parents Esten and Sere Rullestad. She was baptized and confirmed in Skaanevik, Norway. In 1863 she was married to Gunder J. Rullestad in Sovde, Norway. They came to America in 1905 and settled in Huxley, Iowa. Nine children were born to this union, Esten, Gunhilde and Ingebrit preceeded her in death. She is survived by five sons, Gunder, Severt, Lars, James and Jalmer, one daughter Mrs. John Freeland, 31 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and one brother living in Norway. Since the death of her husband in 1927, she has made her home with her children. She passed away peacefully at 2:30 Friday morning, March 16 at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Lars Rullestad having reached the age of 92 years and six months. She was laid to rest in the Lincoln cemetery beside the remains of her husband.

Thompson and Mr. and Mrs. Tom Herem of Roland, Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Berg, Philip Kalsem, Mrs. Cora Hetland, Gunder Fjare, Mr. and Mrs. Jalmer Rullestad, Ramona and Mr. and Mrs. Forest Vogt all of Ames, Mr. and Mrs. Severt Rullestad, Cecil and Ellen, Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Abrahamson and Eugene, Tom Knudson, Mr. and Mrs. U. B. Thompson of Jewell, Hazel Elwell of Story city and Beatrice Knudson of Des Moines.
