THE DES MOINES REGISTER, February 22, 1991, page 5. Obituary: "Nellie Tomlinson, 79, of 201 S.E. Third St., Ankeny, died of cancer Wednesday at Mercy Hospital Medical Center. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Elkhart Christian Church, of which she was a member. Burial will be in Cory Grove Cemetery. Mrs. Tomlinson was born in Russell and formerly lived in Des Moines and Bondurant. She moved to Ankeny four years ago and had been employed at grocery stores in Bondurant. Surviving are here husband, W. Tiffin; two daughters, Phyllis Seuferer of Marshalltown and Nadine Zimmer of Elkhart; a son, Gerald of Ankeny; 13 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Friends may call after 4 p.m. today at Hamilton's Near Highland Memory gardens Funeral Home, where the family will be present from 4 to 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to her church."
