Funeral Services for Ed A. Stebbins

Funeral services were held at the Cooper Funeral Home in Maxwell, Friday, October 11, for Edward A. Stebbins, farmer of near Maxwell, who died in Des Moines on Wednesday. Interment was in the Nevada cemetery later that same day.

Edward A. Stebbins, son of L. T. and Elmina Stebbins, was born on October 14, 1879 near Zearing, Iowa, and departed from this earth October 9, 1935, at the age of 55 years, 11 months and 25 days.

His parents moved to South Dakota when he was a small boy, returning to Zearing when he was 14 years of age.

Edward was united in marriage the Huldah Finley of Nevada, on January 9, 1907. To this union were born ten children.

All of his married life was spent in central Iowa excepting six years (1914-1919) which was spent in Blue Earth county, Minnesota.

He was united with Christ at the age of 14 years and for the past eleven years was an active member of the Church of Christ of Maxwell.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and one brother.

He leaves the ten children, Hazel, Elsie Garner, Finley, Lester, Evelyn Alder, Leona, Doris, Dorothy, Maxine and Opal, one grandchild, two sisters, Mrs. Gerturde Kelley and Mrs. Pearl Wilkie of Marshalltown, and many other relatives and a host of friends to mourn his departure.
