Funeral Services In Maxwell For Mrs. Nelson Moses

Collins -- Funeral services for Mrs. Nelson Moses were held at the Cooper Funeral Home in Maxwell with the Rev. G. M. Talbott of the Collins E. U. B. church officiating.

Mrs. Madeline Summitt accompanied Milton Hale who sang "Have Thine Own Way, Lord" and "Nearer My God to Thee."

Flowers were cared for by Mrs. L. H. Jacobsen and Mrs. Verlin Gale.

Casket bearers were Paul Smith, L. H. Jacobson, Verlin Gale, Joe Tiffany, Dale John and Earl Handsaker.

Interment was in the Greencastle cemetery south of Mingo.

Obituary

Mrs. Nelson Moses, daughter of John and Maria Lawrence, was born May 29, 1878 at Nicely Grove near Green Castle, Iowa and passed away at 10 a.m. Dec. 19, 1954 at Nevada at the age of 76 years, 6 month and 20 days.

She attended school and grew to womanhood in the Valeria vicinity. On March 7, 1906 she was united in marriage to Nelson Moses and to this union on son, Ralph John was born. He preceded her in death April 6, 1939. She accepted Christ as her personal Saviour when a young girl and lived a faithful Christian life, always active in the work of the church which she loved, being Sunday school teacher and pianist for many years as long as her health permitted.

She leaves to mourn her passing her husband, three grandsons: Richard Moses in the service in Duluth, Minnesota, Darrell Moses in the service in France and Robert Moses, a student at Iowa State College at Ames, a half brother, Quin Philson of Colfax, one great grandson Bradford Lee Moses, other relatives and a host of friends.
