Services for area deaths
HATTIE RIGGS
Hattie Riggs of Nevada, died at the age of 80 Sunday morning at the Story County Hospital. She had been a resident of the city her entire lifetime.
She was born February 15, 1893 in Nevada to John and Sophia Ingerson and was a member of the Memorial Lutheran Church.
Funeral services will be held from the Memorial Lutheran Church, Wednesday, November 21 at 1:30 p.m. with Pastor Harry Myklebust officiating. Burial will be in the Nevada Cemetery.
She is survived by one son, Eugene Cook of Nevada, one daughter, Mrs. Keith Cooper of Ames; one stepdaughter, Mrs. Charles Bradley of Tennessee, 9 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, one brother, Glen Ingerson of Nevada, and three sisters, Mrs. Carrie Nighsonger, Mrs. Sara Holder and Mrs. Leota Hahn, all of Nevada.
Mrs. Riggs was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Clarence Cook who died in 1926, husband Roy Riggs who died in 1960m 4 brothers, 3 sisters, and one step-son.
