THE MAXWELL TRIBUNE, Maxwell, Iowa, Thursday, July 13, 1922, page 1, column 3. "THIRTY YEARS AGO - Items taken from the Maxwell Tribune of July 14, 1892 -Chas. Selby died at the residence of his son, Lloyd, in Shelby county, last Thursday, after a lingering illness; the remains were brought to this place and funeral services were held at Iowa Center Sunday, conducted by Rev. Bodenham, after which they were laid to rest in Woodland cemetery. Mr. Selby was an old resident of this county and held in high respect by all who knew him."

Selby, Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Selby and D. Selby were in town the first of the week, being called here to attend the funeral of their father."
