THE MAXWELL TRIBUNE, Maxwell, Story County, Iowa, Thursday, April 30, 1959, page 1, column 4. "OBITUARY - Della Lucinda Parr, daughter of W. E. and Mary Parr, was born March 6, 1880 at Peoria, Iowa and died April 15, 1959 at the Story County Hospital at the age of 79 years, 1 month and nine days. She was united in marriage to Clarence Wesley Rouzer December 25, 1904. To this union no children were born. The Rouzers adopted a son, Orville, in 1920. Mrs. Rouzer leaves her husband and son, three grandchildren, Gary, Marie Sue and Arnold; one sister, Mrs. Ellen McQuiston, and a host of nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her parents, four brothers, and two sisters. She was united with the United Brethren Church at Maxwell at the age of 16 and continued in church service throughout her life. Mrs. Rouzer moved to Nevada and became active in the Garden Club, Hospital Guild and other community activities as long as her health permitted. Burial services were Friday at the Maxwell United Brethren Church with the Rev. Smith, pastor, officiating. Burial was at the Maxwell Cemetery."
