MARION W SHICKELL

Marion W. Shickell, Route 2, Nevada, was found dead at his home Monday afternoon after suffering a heart attack while picking corn.

Shickell, 64, was born Feb. 11, 1908 in Story County to Lee and Mabel Shickell. He had lived in Story County his entire lifetime and was a farmer.

On Sept. 5, 1940 he married Nellie Middelkoop in Des Moines. He was a member of the United Methodist Church.

Surviving are his wife Nellie, two brothers William and Lloyd Shickell, both of Nevada and a sister Mrs. Leliia Grimes of Fillmore, Ind. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be held from the Ryan Funeral Home Friday at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Marvin L. Hulse officiating. Burial will be in the Woodland Cemetery at Iowa Center.
