DWIGHT "BARNEY" BARNETT
Military funeral services for Dwight "Barney" Barnett were held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 16 at the Christian Church in Logan, Iowa.
Born on Dec. 25, 1924, at Maxwell, he made his home with mother and step-father, George Fry, until entering the Navy in 1943. After leaving the Navy, he moved to Logan in 1952.
He entered the V A Hospital on Nov. 12 in Missouri Valley, where he passed away on Nov. 13 after suffering a massive brain hemorrhage.
Survivors include two daughters, Corlis and Carol of Logan, his mother, Mrs. Edith Barnett, one brother, Dean Barnett, both of Phoenix, Ariz., five half brothers, John Fry of Colo, Dick Fry of Phoenix, Ariz., Bob Fry of Pratville, Alabama, Loren Barnett and Larry Fry, both of Spencer, Ind., two half sisters, Mrs. Barbara Lawrence and Mrs. Sharon Robertson, both of Spencer, Ind.
He was preceded in death by his father and step-father.
Interment was in the Magnolia Cemetery at Magnolia, Iowa.
Several relatives from this vicinity attended the services.
