THE MAXWELL TRIBUNE, Maxwell, Iowa, Thursday, July 1, 1971, page 1, column 3. "DORUS H. MYERS. - Dorus Harl Myers, 79, passed away Monday nigh, June 28, 1971, at the Story County Hospital. Services will be held at the Maxwell Christian Church at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, July 1, 1971, with Rev. David Shaeffer and Rev. O. E. Barrow officiating, with burial in the Elkhart Cemetery. Surviving are his wife, Leona; three sons, Donald and Verl of Maxwell and Max of shell Rock; one daughter, Mrs. Steven (Geraldine) Morton of Denver, Colo. Also, two brothers, Loren of Detroit, Michigan and Elmer of West Salem, Illinois. One son preceded him in death."
