THE MAXWELL TRIBUNE, Maxwell, Iowa, Thursday, December 20, 1923, page 1, column 5. "ALBERT H. McNALL. - Albert H. McNall was born at Bombay, Franklin county, New York, November 6, 1851, and passed from this life at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Marion Booher, in Boulder, Colo., Wednesday evening, December 12, 1923, at the age of seventy-two years, one month and six days. He was one of a family of six children, four brothers and two sisters, both of the sisters having preceded him in death. In 1879 he was married at Peoria, Iowa, to Margaret Jane Beach, who passed away eight years ago. Two children were born to this union, a son and daughter, the son dying in infancy. The daughter and three brothers remain to mourn his departure. Mr. McNall was a resident of Story county from the time he was ten years of age until the fall of 1920, when he went to Boulder, Colo., with his daughter and family, and where he has since made his home. He was the first postmaster commissioned at Maxwell, and was also the first man to operate a grocery at this place. He was a kind husband and devoted father. He was a believer in God, made friends wherever he went and always had a pleasant word for every one. During his sickness, he was a patient sufferer, never complaining. At one time in his life he was a faithful attendant at the church services, but of late was compelled on account of failing health, to remain at home. He was a member of Social Lodge, No. 463, of Maxwell. The body was brought to Maxwell, accompanied by the son-in-law, Mr. Booher; Mrs. Booher being in the hospital at Boulder, was unable to come. Funeral services were held in the Christian church on Sunday afternoon, conducted by the pastor, Rev. DeLoss Marken, and interment was made at Iowa cemetery by the side of his wife and son. The members of Social lodge attended the services in a body." "Our sincere thanks are hereby extended to relatives and friends, and the people of Maxwell, for their kindness and sympathy on the occasion of the funeral of our beloved father. Mr. and Mrs. M. F. Booher."
