THE MAXWELL TRIBUNE, Maxwell, Iowa, Thursday, January 26, 1899, page 5. "The news of the death of Mrs. A. Heitchen, at Anamosa on the 13th inst., was received by many Maxwell friends with profound sorrow. Mr. Heitchen used to be in the hardware business here. His family lived in Anamosa, and upon frequent visits, the lovely disposition of Mrs. Heitchen won for her the undying friendship of all who knew her. The immediate cause of her death was brain fever, together with the grip, which followed a surgical operation. In their hour of affliction, the husband, son and daughter have the sincere sympathy of all Maxwell friends."
