The party of which they were members made the trip from Indiana in covered wagons, over an almost roadless prairie. It was during the great scourge of cholera that swept the country at that time. Almost every member of the company was stricken and several died. Mr. Hall was married to Mary Ann Marshall, who survives him, January 6 1870. To this union two sons were born, J. Clinton and Edwin T. The latter died at the age of five years. Besides the widow he is survived by his son, Clinton, and two grandsons, Harley and William, of Bagley. Mr. and Mrs. Hall and their son, Clinton, moved to Greene county forty two years ago. Mr. Hall passed from this life September 17, 1933. Funeral services were conducted from their home in Bagley, Iowa, Tuesday afternoon of last week by Rev. G. W. Hohanshelt, of the Methodist church, and Rev. Neville, of the Christian church.
