Last Rites Held For Randall Thompson

HUXLEY -- Last rites for Randall F. Thompson, 73, of Huxley was held Wednesday afternoon at 1 o'clock in the home and 2 p.m. in the Bethany church in Kelley.

Rev. P. E. Onstad was in charge of the services. Burial was in the Bethany cemetery near Kelley.

Mr. Thompson died suddenly Sunday morning following a heart attack at his home.

Obituary

Mr. Thompson was born June 27, 1877, at Huxley and spent his entire life in Story county. His parents were Martha and Torkel Thompson.

He was a charter member of the Bethany Lutheran church at Kelley.

Mr. Thompson was married November 27, 1901, to Celia Richardson near Kelley.

He retired from farming five years ago and he and his wife moved into a new five room bungalow in Huxley two weeks ago.

Beside his wife, Celia, he is survived by three sons, Henry of Cylinder, Milford and Randall Jr., both of Huxley; one brother, Eli of Spencer; one sister, Mrs. Grace Nerness [should be Nernes] if near Slater; `12 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
