Mrs. Andrew Schauper Died Early Today at Home in Collins

Special to the Journal:
Collins, Nov. 24--Mrs. Andrew Schauper, 55, died at 5:15 a. m. today at her home in Collins, after an illness of several months.

Brief services will be held at 1:00 o'clock Saturday afternoon at the Morfoot funeral parlors in Nevada and the funeral proper will be held at 2:00 a the Presbyterian church of McCallsburg, of which she had been a member. Burial will be in the family lot in the McCallsburg cemetery.

Mrs. Schauper was born Julia Baumgardner, daughter of A. J. and Mary Baumgardner, pioneers of the McCallsburg neighborhood, July 28, 1882.

She was married to Andrew Schauper, son of another pioneer family on March 8, 1899. They continued to live upon farms in that neighborhood and two sons were born to them--Russell still living at home and Harold at Maxwell.

It was about 11 years ago that they moved to the Collins neighborhood, locating first upon a farm and later the husband engaged in the oil station business in Collins.

Besides her husband and the two sons she leaves 4 grandchildren, brothers B. H. and R. E. of McCallsburg and A. J. Nevada and a sister Mrs. Gertrude Larson of McCallsburg.
