THE MAXWELL TRIBUNE, Maxwell, Iowa, Thursday, January 29, 1903, page 1, column 4. "Died. - Basil Lester Godby, son of William and Maud Godby, was born October 6, 1902 and died January 21, 1903 age three months and fifteen days. This is the history of a loving baby, a more beautiful baby, and one that suffered more in so short a time, was probably never laid away in a cold cemetery. It was surely heart rendering sorrow to a young mother, but a triumphant entrance into the kingdom of God, for Jesus said: "Suffer little children to come unto me and forbid them not, for of such is the kingdom of heaven." Hence the consolation of the parents. The funeral was conducted by the writer in the Iowa Center Evangelical church, January 22d at 2 p. m. and the remains were laid to rest in the Center Grove cemetery. V. Urbino"
