Final Rites Tuesday For Mrs. Edith Wells, 74

Services were held 2:30 Tuesday afternoon March 13, from the Cooper-Moore Funeral home in Maxwell for Mrs. Edith Wells. The Rev. E. S. Blomquist was in charge.

Mrs. Ray Gooden sang "Abide With Me" and "In the Garden", accompanied by Darline Moore. Pall bearers were Robert Norton, John Osborn, Clarence Norton, Archie Ray, Bela Norton and Jake Baldwin.

Burial was in the Peoria cemetery beside her husband.

Born in Iowa

Edith McClanahan was born in Jasper county, Iowa on Jan. 26, 1877, and died March 10, 1951, at the age of 74 years, one month and 15 days.

She was united in marriage to Frank Wells on Feb. 21, 1900. To this union was born two sons, Eldon, who ha been a patient at the Iowa City hospital for several months, and Clark, who lives in Santa Barbara, Calif.

Mrs. Wells first united with the Methodist church in Farrar, and later, when she was a resident of Maxwell, she transferred her membership to the Methodist church there.

Surviving are her two sons, one brother and four sisters, as well as a host of friends and relatives. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and two sisters.
