THE MAXWELL TRIBUNE, Maxwell, Iowa, Thursday, March 6, 1924, page 1, column 2. "MRS. CURT CAMPBELL - Mrs. Curt Campbell, of Collins, died at her home Sunday morning after a lingering illness of diabetes and heart trouble. Besides her husband she leaves three sons, Ralph and Ira, of Collins, and Lloyd, of Nevada. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon from the Methodist church in Collins with interment in the Collins cemetery. Mrs. Campbell was well known in Maxwell, having lived her a number of years ago. She was a sister of W. L. Tipton, of Nevada."
THE MAXWELL TRIBUNE, Maxwell, Iowa, Thursday, March 13, 1924, page 1, column 3. "MRS. CURTIS CAMPBELL - Celia Ethel Tipton was born in Cedar county, Iowa, March 7, 1875. She with her parents came to Story county in 1877, where she has resided since except about five years in Polk county. October 26, 1892, she was united in marriage to Curtis Campbell. To this union five children were born. Two daughters who died in infancy. The surviving children being Lloyd, Ralph and Ira. She was converted when young and united with the Methodist church, which membership she continued until her death, March 2, 1924, at the age of forty-eight years, eleven months and twenty-five days. She was a true and faithful wife and mother. She was a member of the Eastern Star and Royal Neighbors. She leaves to mourn besides her husband and three sons, three brothers, T. E. Tipton, of Agga, Kansas; J. N. Tipton, of Redfield, Iowa, and W. L. Tipton, of Nevada, Iowa."
