Graveside Service Held Sunday For Miss Mamie Tway

Miss Mamie Tway, 65, was laid to rest Sunday afternoon in the Nevada cemetery by the side of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. Tway. Brief services were conducted by Rev. J. D. Ransom.

Pall bearers were Adolph Greiner, Gus Ludwig, Ed Couser and Glen Hostetler.

Obituary

The following life sketch of the deceased was read by the minister:

Lela Mamie Tway was born northeast of Nevada, Iowa, November 16, 1884 and died of heart trouble and other complications at her farm home near Ottumwa, Iowa, midnight Wednesday, June 21, 1950, aged 65 years, seven months and five days.

She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Cornelius Tway, being one of five children. Miss Tway lived most of her life in Iowa with the exception of a few years which was near Macon, Mo. Most of her early life was lived on farms in Story county with her parents, and later on a farm with her brother and sister near Ottumwa.

Survivors

Those surviving her are E. S. Tway of Sac City, Mrs. Della Guthrie of Nevada, Florence and William of Ottumwa, her niece, Miss Daisy Guthrie of Nevada, nephew, Allen Guthrie, of Ames and a great niece, Marlene Guthrie of Ames.

Her father and mother preceded her in death.

Miss Tway was a woman of many fine traits of character, devoted to her home, and will be greatly missed by those who survive her.
