Death at County Home

Miss Bessie Erickson died at the Story County Home on Wednesday shortly before the noon hour and the funeral services were at Salems church Friday afternoon. Miss Erickson was a daughter of Han Erickson, a pioneer resident of Milford township who left there a score of years ago for Kansas, where his son Ira and other children now live. Miss Bessie had been afflicted mentally for about twenty years and before the family left the county was taken to the state hospital at Clarinda. When Story county removed the incurable patients from the state hospital after the completion of the new County Home and Infirmary, Miss Erickson was brought here. Her brother Ira was here from Kansas and attended to affairs regarding the funeral and interment.
