Funeral Services To Be in Zearing Monday for Harry Meekins

Funeral services for Harry Meekins who died in Taft, Calif. Nov. 10 will be at the Brouhard Funeral Home in Zearing Monday at 10 a.m. with Rev. Phillip Sharp officiating. Burial will be in the Zearing cemetery.

Meekins was born February 11, 1893 in Zearing and had lived there until 24 years ago. He had worked since for the Standard Oil Co. in Taft.

He was a World War I veteran and member of the American Legion Post #116, Zearing.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Meekin, three sisters and one brother. Surviving him are a number of cousins in Calif. and Iowa.

The Legion Post of Zearing will be in charge of Military services.
