HUXLEY PIONEER CALLED BY DEATH

A. L. KLOSTER POSTMASTER AND RETIRED MERCHANT, DIED SATURDAY

A. L. Kloster, pioneer, postmaster and retired merchant of Huxley, died Saturday morning at 8 and the funeral services will be held from Fieldberg church of tha city on Thursday.

Mr. Kloster, who was 63 years of age of August 7 last, was born on the island of Kloster, about fifty miles south of Bergen, Norway. He came to America when about seven years of age and had been a resident of Huxley for over third of a century.

He had been engaged in the mercantile business for about thirty years, was for twenty-six year the postmaster of the town and had held the position of treasurer of the Fieldberg church for twenty-eight years.

He had devoted much of his time to church work and had been at different times a parochial school teacher. His activities along that lien had endeared him to the hearts of the people of the community where he had lived so long and labored so faithfully.

He leaves his wife, four children, one brother and one sister. The children are L. S. Kloster, clerk of the district court, of Nevada, Mrs. A. M. Severeid and Misses Hilda and Sina Kloster, who live at home.
