Funeral Services for Frank S. Eddy

Funeral services for Frank S. Eddy, 69, were held Wednesday afternoon, May 9, at the M. E. church in Rhode, Iowa, following prayer services at the home at one o'clock in charge of Rev. Roberts of the Associated Churches of State Center, assisted by Rev. Crouse.

Services at the church were in charge of Rev. Crouse, assisted by Rev. James of the M. P. church of Rhodes.

Pallbearers were Ellis Tribby, Howard Floto, Frank Bentley, Irvin Mead, Clarence and Harold Reimenschneider.

Flowers were cared for by Vera Eddy, Pauline Carmody, Marjorie Cory and Lois Aves

Burial with Masonic rites, was at Johnson's Grove cemetery, northwest of Colo.

Frank Sherman Eddy, eldest son of Alfred and Amanda Eddy, was born in St. Charles, Illinois, April 27, 1865, and passed away May 7, 1934, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. P. M. Benner, State Center, Iowa.

In 1866 Mr. Eddy and his parents moved to Iowa, settling in Story county. December 30, 1896, he was united in marriage to Susie Hix of Nevada, Iowa, and moved to the new home on a farm south of Zearing, Iowa, where they lived till 1915, when they moved to Nevada, Iowa, to give their three children better educational advantages.

Mr. Eddy was a member of Johnson's Grove M. E. church, later transferring his membership to Rhodes, Iowa, when the family moved there in 1920. He was also a member of Eden Lodge, A. F. & A. M., of Rhodes.

Mr. Eddy is survived by his widow, Mrs. Susie Eddy, one son, Harry, of Collins, two daughters, Mrs. J. B. Miller of Bangor and Mrs. P. M. Benner of State Center, eight grandchildren and three brothers, Orlando of Iowa Falls, Dwight and William of Zearing, and many other relatives and friends.
