Gerald William Lang came into this world on May 4th, 1960, in Marshalltown, Iowa, one of 10 children born to Harold and Wanda (Purtle) Lang, of State Center. He graduated from the West Marshall High School in 1978.

Never without a smile, he lived life to the fullest- whether at work or the beaches of Isla Mujeres in Mexico. He loved his family and friends deeply. It was a good day if it included fishing, carpentry projects, softball, umpiring or cheering on the Packers or Iowa State. It was a great day if it included his family. One trait everyone could agree on was he was the most unselfish person you could meet. Jerry was a faithful and devoted driver for Casey’s for a number of years and currently was a grocery driver. Whether in his truck or on foot, he was always on the go.

On March 26th, 2013, he married the love of his life, Stephanie Propp. They shared six precious years of marriage at the time of his passing.

Left to treasure his memory are Stephanie; his three children- Sara (Allen) Fleener of Bondurant, Natalie (Lauryn) Camp of Clinton and Sgt. Jon Lang of Nashville, TN,; his precious grandchildren Alivia, Kennedy, Jaxon, and Baby Camp soon to join; siblings- Linda (Jim) Cox of Des Moines, Mary (Bruce) Reisinger of Clemons, IA, Janet (David) German of Nevada, Joyce Barron of Boone, Loretta (Craig) Kimball of Fountain, CO, Bob (Patty) Lang of Saucier, MS and Becky (Harold) Carr of Waterloo as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

In death, Jerry rejoined his parents Harold and Wanda; sister, Marty Barnett;brothers, Jim Lang and John Lang; and his good friend Dean Splittgerber.
