GRIM REAPER TAKES BENJAMIN CONFARE...

The body of Benjamin Confare a former resident of Maxwell and Nevada arrived this morning over the Rock Island Railroad and the funeral was held from the home of his brother, N. H. Confare this afternoon at two o'clock the services being conducted by the Rev. J. G. Leitch of the Presbyterian church.

Ben Confare as he was best known to the older residents, was born in Millville, Ohio, in 1835 and came to Story county in 1869 settling first in Maxwell later in Nevada and moving afterwards to Ames where he made his home for some time. Two years ago he left this section of the country going to Kason, Minnesota about forty miles from Rochester where he has lived till the time of his death with a married daughter, Mrs. Kate Fry. During his recent illness, due to old age and kidney troubles, he has been constantly cared for by his children, till death brought him relief on Tuesday afternoon. His wife passed away in 1908 and he is survived by his brother N. H. Confare of this city the custodian of the County Building, the daughter with whom he made his home in Minnesota, Mrs. U. S. Griffith of Ames, and Mrs. Florence John of Arkansas. A more completer obituary will be published later.
