OBITUARY OF MRS. GIBSON

Had Been Pioneer Resident of Gilbert Neighborhood

Special to the Journal.
Gilbert, July 17--Margaret Wyatt was born Aug. 29, 1836, died at her home in Gilbert, Iowa, July 12, 1918, aged 81 years, 10 months, 13 days, on Aug. 21, 1860. She was united in marriage to James Gibson and to this union were born three sons and two daughters. Two sons died in infancy and a daughter Mrs. Walter Rainbolt in 1905. Those living are James Albert and Ida May Gibson, both of Gilbert, Iowa, her husband having passed away 12 years ago.

She leaves two brothers and two sisters, T. J. Wyatt of Manning, Iowa, Mrs. Handsaker of Nevada, Iowa, Miss Mary Wyatt of Nevada.

For many years the family lived on a farm two and one half miles west of Gilbert. January 1906 they moved to Gilbert which has been her home since that time. Mrs. Gibson prior to coming to Gilbert had been a member of the U. B. church. On moving to town she united with the Congregational church to which she was faithful till called to the home above.

She was a kind and indulgent mother, a good neighbor and her friends were many. She leaves a son, a daughter, two brothers, two sisters, ten grandchildren, four great grandchildren and a host of friends to mourn her loss. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Wissler in the Congregational church Sunday at 2:30 p. m. Interment in Gilbert cemetery.
