Death Takes Fred Statler, Former Nevada Resident

DES MOINES: Mr. Fred Statler, 83, former resident of Nevada, died Wednesday night in the Iowa Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines following a year's illness.

Funeral services will be held from the White Funeral Chapel in Des Moiens at 10:30 Saturday morning. Burial will be in the family lot in the Nevada cemetery at 12:30 p. m.

Surviving are nine children, five of whom live in Des Moines. Others live in St. Petersburg, Fla., Norfolk, Va., Los Angeles, Calif., and Salem, Ore.

Mr. Statler also leaves 19 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. His wife was the former Bertha Hammersland of Roland.

The deceased was a brother of the late Edgar Statler and a sister was the late Marguerite Statler of Nevada.
