LEARNED OF FATHER'S DEATH
Former Zearing Man Passed Away at Marshalltown
Special to the Journal.
Maxwell, July 23--E. A. Stebbins who lives south of Maxwell received word Monday morning of the death of his father, Loren T. Stebbins, a resident of Marshalltown. Mr. Stebbins' death was caused by brain fever. He was seventy-three years old and is survived by his widow and three children, Edward A. Stebbins of near this city, Gertrude and Pearl, both living at home and a sister, Mrs. J. D. Dickover of Maylor, Mo. These is also an adopted son, Richard, living at home. Three step-children, Mrs. Ethel Bailey and Mrs. W. W. Vehmeier of Marshalltown and E. H. Stevens of Iowa Falls. The funeral was held Thursday afternoon at the home in charge of Rev. L. W. Harper. Burial was made in the Illinois Grove cemetery.
