Funeral rites were held at the Nevada Seventhday Adventist church Friday afternoon at 2:00 for Mrs. Christina Larson, 87, for over 60 years a resident of Nevada, who died at the home of her son Lew A. Larson, 1115 I avenue, Nevada, June 22.
The service was in charge of her pastor, Elder A. L. Miller and the music was by W. C. Foreman and Mrs. Andersen.
Burial was in the Nevada cemetery by the side of her husband, the late Nils Larson who died about four years ago.
Four of the eight children were here for the service, they being Lew A. Larson of Nevada, Chester Larson of the U. S. Navy, now stationed at Williamsburg, Virginia, Lester Larson of Chattanooga, Tenn., and Anthony Larson of Nevada. Those unable to be present because of transportation difficulties were Otis Larson of Detroit, George Larson, for the present of defense work in Texas, and the daughters, Mrs. Mary Child of Hollywood, Calif., and Mrs. Lillian Gray of Alhambra, Calif.
The church was well filled with relatives and sorrowing friend and neighbors, gathered to pay a final tribute of respect to this good, Christian woman.
The following brief life sketch of Mrs. Larson was read by the minister:
"Christina Ottesen, daughter of Otto and Netta Ottosen* was born in North Jutland, Denmark, May 15, 1956, and died at the home of her oldest son, Lewis A. Larson, June 22, 1943, at 8:00 p. m., being at the time of her death 87 years, 1 month and 6 days of age.

"Mrs. Larson and her husband became members of the Seventhday Adventist church previous to their marriage and they both remained faithful to their God and their church all through life. As a devoted wife and mother she lived her religion in her home.
"Their home was blessed with eight children, all of whom are living. They are Lew A., Anthony, and George of Nevada; Otis, of Detroit, Mich., Lester, of Chattanooga, Tenn., Chester of the U. S. Navy, Mrs. Mary Childs, of Hollywood, Calif. and Mrs. Lillian Gray of Alhambra, Calif.
